Agrimech unveils ground-breaking new machine

Multi-headed packaging machine is first such British model

Agrimech has made headlines again with the launch of our latest product at the UK's leading trade show.

Having won the Customer Service Award from the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association last year, we have now launched the Hydra, the first British-made multi-headed weigher.

The Hydra has 10 heads and it can use the information to combine the contents of several heads to reach the requiredweight and fill sacks or boxes.

It was launched at the Lamma Show at the NEC in Birmingham. and its arrival coincides with our 10th birthday.

“The Hydra is intended for filling sacks or boxes withbetween 12.5 and 25kg of produce,” explained Agrimech founder Darren Smith. “It's manufactured in stainless steel and has touchscreen controls, and each bin contains 3–5kg and by working out the best combination, its filling accuracy can be accurate to within 2g.

"All the machinery we supply is made by us, so we can supply the best possible after sales support and service, which is how we’ve established such a good reputation for customer service. We're very proud to be the first British company to make such a machine. We've already got one customer, and it will become more widely commercially available later in the year.”
